Directing the polluted Lutynia stream to the waste-treatment plant with the use of the gravitational method

 

On 18 November 2006 PCC Rokita SA and the National Fund for Environment Protection and Water Management concluded a contract for a grant for the following project:

Directing the polluted Lutynia stream to a natural sewage treatment plant

The project was carried out under the Sectoral Operational Programme Improvement of the Competitiveness of Enterprises, Submeasure 2.4.1 – Support for enterprises in the scope of adapting enterprises to environment protection requirements.

The aim of the project was to support PCC Rokita’s activities related to adapting the Company to the environment protection requirements and to achieve notable environmental results like elimination of negative company’s impact on the Lutynia stream and reduction of pollutants in the water.

The aim was achieved by constructing a channel through which the Lutynia stream will be directed to the Company Sewage Treatment Plant. The project was co-financed by the National Fund for Environment Protection and Water Management.
