On the last Saturday of the carnival, another edition of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology Charity Ball traditionally took place, accompanied by a fundraising event to raise money for scholarships for students with disabilities. The ball was attended by guests from the world of science, politics and business, who not only had the opportunity to network and enjoy themselves, but also to take part in the charity auctions.
The auctions, conducted by the Rector of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Professor Arkadiusz Wójs, and Anna Geryn, met with great interest among the generous guests, thanks to which a total of PLN 249,600 was raised.
Even before the ball, the scholarship fund was supported by well-known companies, which donated a total of PLN 176,000. The final total was increased by PLN 51,000 raised through the ‘Nocne Listowanie’ action.
One of the companies involved in the donation was PCC Rokita, which had the honour of providing financial support for this exceptional cause!
The total amount that will be donated to the scholarship fund for students with disabilities is PLN 476,850.
