PCC EXOL SA has been a certified member of the RSPO organisation for 7 years and actively supports the sustainable management of palm oil. The first deliveries of certified products in accordance with the RSPO Mass Balance system were made by the Company at the beginning of 2015.
In November this year, the international audit company Control Union carried out another control audit at PCC EXOL SA, which ended with a positive result. This proves that all of the requirements of the RSPO standard are met and confirms that the company can successfully supply certified surfactants to global recipients operating in the cosmetics, detergents and food industries.
The RSPO certificate is essential for the Company’s qualification as a raw material supplier.
RSPO is the name of both the product certification system and the organisation – “The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil”. RSPO’s mission is to transform the market in such a way that the use of organic palm oil throughout the supply chain becomes the norm, i.e. from oil plantations, through mills, refineries and chemical producers, to finished products reaching end users.
The RSPO certification is a must in the surfactant market today. It is one of the key elements of the supplier qualification system. It is especially important for manufacturers who want to supply their products to large multinational companies, especially those producing cosmetics, detergents, biofuels and food. The RSPO is the first and only certification system that makes it possible, through the use of appropriate labelling, to distinguish products that use palm oil from plantations that have not contributed to the destruction of natural ecosystems and do not have a negative impact on them, while the people associated with these areas have preserved their traditions and culture.
