PLLast Saturday of the carnival, the Wrocław University of Science and Technology Charity Ball was held for the 21st time, accompanied by a fundraising event to raise money to finance scholarships for students with disabilities.
The ball was attended by a variety of guests from the world of science, politics and business, who not only had the opportunity to talk to each other and have a great time, but first of all took part in an auction during which 30 unique items were up for bidding.
Auctions conducted by the Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology – Professor Arkadiusz Wójs and Anna Geryn, attracted great interest among the generous guests, thanks to which a total of PLN 183,500 was collected.
Even before the event, leading companies also donated their funds, thanks to which a donation of PLN 202,000 was added to the pot, and the sum of PLN 27,750 collected during the Night Lettering campaign was also included.
One of the companies involved in the donation is PCC Rokita, which had the honour of providing financial support for this exceptional cause!
The total amount that will go to the scholarship fund for students with disabilities is PLN 413,250.
Congratulations to the Wrocław University of Science and Technology for the great initiative and the record result!
